Overall Objective
Provide high-value strategy and execution of paid performance media across various platforms. Deliver strong analytical skills with understanding of relevant web metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) – Profitability ROAS, Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), Click-Through Rate (CTR), Cost Per Click (CPC), etc., on all media activity. Work together with other marketing channel experts at StudioForty9 to develop a complete strategy using "joined-up thinking" to get the best results for clients. Represent StudioForty9 regarding all e-commerce retail clients. Champion the client’s business within StudioForty9.
Job Description
As a Paid Search Specialist, you are responsible for managing a group of client media accounts to drive lead generation, increase sales, improve conversions, and boost ROAS against paid performance channels, matching overall client growth plans.
The Paid Search Specialist is expected to have deep knowledge of developing, deploying, and adjusting (PPC) marketing campaigns, including paid search, shopping, display advertising (including Performance Max), across multiple advertising platforms (Google, Bing, etc.) to affect growth for clients and align with StudioForty9’s client growth plans.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in a PPC-focused role. They will work alongside the Marketing Manager and Head of Growth and are expected to take ownership of managing pay-per-click advertising campaigns, including the strategy, design, setup, content, and analysis of ad performance.
StudioForty9 is focused on growing the portfolio of marketing services and the capability provided to B2C and B2B retail e-commerce clients, so the ideal candidate will also be ambitious and keen to direct a team in the future and provide leadership and coaching for team members with the aim of achieving StudioForty9 business goals.

Skills & Experience
- PPC
- Assess and understand business objectives of agency clients, turning those goals into a PPC strategy and action plan. The company works with many different retail industries, so it is important to understand their business and customer needs.
- Plan, create, and manage PPC campaigns across various platforms.
- Adjust campaigns regularly using data from the campaign to improve performance, to reach set KPI and ROAS benchmarks and goals for the client.
- Monitor, evaluate, report, and present the performance of campaigns by creating weekly and monthly performance reports for agency clients, analyzing trends, goals, opportunities, and other key performance indicators.
- Undertaking smart conversion decisions to make sure the maximum effect is achieved for a given online budget spend.
- Working with other marketing colleagues to make sure joint strategic marketing objectives match paid ad activity. This is to make sure a full-funnel marketing solution is created for clients that aligns across all platforms, creating a complete omnichannel approach.
- Work with Design, Account Managers (AMs), and Developer teams to make sure the ability exists to deliver, capture, and make sure the success of aspects like landing pages, tracking codes, and analytics integration.
- Experience with relevant tools
- PPC: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Merchant Center, Data Feed Watch.
- Analytics & Reporting: Tag Manager, Google Analytics (including GA4), Looker Studio.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce.
- Experience in the retail sector.

Location
- Ireland is ideal, but the entire team is working remotely at present, so location is not an issue.
