Shumaker & Sieffert, a leader in intellectual property law, seeks a Patent Attorney specializing in computer science. This position offers the flexibility of remote work or the option to work from our Woodbury, MN office. You'll collaborate with industry leaders on groundbreaking projects, shaping the future of intellectual property.

What You'll Do:

  • Handle all aspects of patent prosecution, from initial client consultation to final disposition.
  • Conduct thorough patent searches and analyses.
  • Draft and file patent applications.
  • Manage client relationships and provide expert legal advice.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals.

What We're Looking For:

  • Must-Haves:
    • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
    • USPTO Registration Number (highly preferred; eligibility required if not registered).
  • Valued Experience: Artificial intelligence, machine learning, operating systems, databases, data structures, computer networking, virtualization, file systems, digital design, or computer architecture.
