🎯 About the Role:

This is a key design role, partnering closely with the Game Director on a new R&D project. You'll be instrumental in shaping the game's vision, from initial prototyping through launch. You'll also mentor and guide a talented team of designers, fostering a creative and high-performing environment.

💪 What You'll Do:

• Guide major design decisions, ensuring alignment with the product vision.
• Lead discussions to navigate complex design challenges.
• Design systems that achieve product goals and demonstrate commercial viability.
• Connect design decisions to player motivations and product goals.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing design team.
• Share your expertise on game design, target audiences, and market trends with the wider organization.

✨ What You'll Need:

• A comprehensive understanding of game systems, design principles, metagame systems, game economies, and player psychology.
• Deep insights into the game's design space, including key differentiators, challenges, and opportunities.
• Ability to connect design decisions to player motivations and product goals.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work with designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams (engineering, art, production).
• Ability to synthesize feedback and iterate on designs quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Extensive experience with games-as-a-service and live operations.
• Passion for mentoring and developing others.
• A strong desire to learn and stay ahead of industry trends.
