🔍 Your Key Responsibilities: Driving Strategy and Excellence

As a Principal Product Designer, you'll be responsible for:

💼 Business Acumen:
  • Develop and facilitate creative problem-solving processes and environments that drive impact at the product and team levels.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by anticipating design trends and evolving design standards.
  • Create influential strategies that cross organizational boundaries, achieving broad business goals.
🎨 Aesthetics:
  • Provide visual design stewardship for ongoing work and set the vision for the future.
  • Possess a deep understanding of fundamental visual design disciplines such as typography, iconography, composition, color, and layout.
💻 Human-Computer Interaction and Insights:
  • Design experiences that drive simplicity even amidst system complexity.
  • Establish frameworks and philosophies that scale and extend across the entire product line.
  • Envision and create new input models.
  • Use data to inform your decisions and influence the broader team.
🛠️ Prototyping:
  • Communicate product-line concepts, narratives, and value propositions through prototypes.
  • Drive the identification and creation of new patterns and their integration into the broader design system.
👤 User-Centered Design:
  • Be a strong advocate for users, ensuring their perspective is heard throughout the organization.
  • Optimize concepts and solutions that demonstrate end-to-end thinking.
  • Quickly assimilate and simplify complex issues and ideas.
  • Continuously transform design processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance quality and alignment with goals.
🎯 Ownership:
  • Present your work effectively to senior leaders across the organization.
  • Influence strategy and build plans that consider potential obstacles and long-term consequences.
  • Anticipate business and organizational needs and work towards mutually beneficial strategies.
Delivers Results:
  • Effectively communicate business strategies and align work with broader goals.
  • Estimate project timelines, and promptly communicate any changes in scope or timelines to stakeholders.
  • Take on a thought leadership role, collaborating with other engineering, product management, and product design leaders organization-wide.
🎓 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors (e.g., human-computer interaction, human-centered design, human-centered design and engineering), Information Systems (e.g., information architecture, information design, knowledge management, information science, information management, information experience design, informatics, information systems), Social Science (e.g., psychology, cognitive science, anthropology), Computer Science, and/or User Experience Research.
  • 7 years of relevant experience.
