Printer and Copier Set-up Technician (75 Percent Travel)

The Role:

This field-based position requires up to 75% travel, primarily within your local and regional area using your own vehicle. Out-of-region travel includes flights and accommodations. You'll be a key member of our team, visiting client locations to set up and maintain printing and copying equipment.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with new customer onboarding, including tagging, inspecting, and cleaning devices.
• Diagnose equipment issues, identify needed parts, and assess field reliability.
• Reset maintenance counts and retrieve configuration information.
• Document device details accurately.
• Inspect parts (rollers, print quality, paper trays, etc.).
• Order necessary parts to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Map device locations using proper ID tags.
• Take before-and-after photos of exceptionally dirty or damaged printers.

What We're Looking For:

• Excellent customer service skills: You're comfortable interacting with clients at all levels.
• Technical aptitude: Experience in printer repair or a related technical field is preferred.
• Travel flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 75%, including short-notice trips, is essential.
• Reliable transportation: You must own a reliable vehicle, be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Independent work ethic: Ability to work efficiently and proactively.
• Strong organizational skills: Excellent time management is crucial.
• Problem-solving abilities: You can gather information effectively to resolve issues.
• Physical capabilities: Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk long distances.
