QA Engineer - Age of Empires (Remote)

The Role:

As a QA Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with our development team. Your focus will be on implementing and optimizing code, primarily using XS syscalls, for our Age of Empires 2 project. We're searching for someone who's not only a skilled coder but also a dedicated Age of Empires 2 enthusiast with a deep understanding of its mechanics and XS scripting. You'll contribute to various development processes through general scripting tasks.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain code in C/C++.
• Work with automation tools and custom scripting languages (.xs) within our proprietary engine.
• Leverage your Age of Empires 2 expertise (mechanics and XS scripting) to enhance project outcomes.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, optimized code.

What We're Looking For:

• Must-Haves:
  • 1+ years of experience in C/C++ and a genuine passion for game development.
  • Strong understanding of Age of Empires 2 game mechanics – you're an avid fan!
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Solid general scripting skills and automation knowledge. (A technical skills test will be required).
• Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience modding Age of Empires 2.

Location & Work Arrangement:

This is a fully remote position, but we can only consider applicants currently residing within Europe (EU time zones required). While based remotely, you must be located in the UK or another EU country.
