What You'll Do
- Provide non-clinical, evidence-based peer support services to individuals with mental health and substance use conditions.
- Guide members in creating Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP®) to identify wellness self-management and crisis prevention strategies.
- Utilize the 8 dimensions of wellness to help members determine their whole health goals and objectives.
- Guide members in developing problem-solving skills to address challenges in their recovery process.
- Engage members in inpatient settings to facilitate post-crisis planning and transitions between treatment settings.
- Facilitate community participation/inclusion for members by encouraging exploration of community roles.
- Perform ongoing interventions to engage members in traditional and non-traditional health services and supports.
- Strategically share your lived experience to inspire hope, empowerment, and positive action.
- Implement, coordinate, and monitor strategies for members and families to improve health and quality of life outcomes.
- Act as an advocate for member needs by identifying and addressing gaps in services and supports.
- Educate providers, supporting staff, members, and families on resiliency and recovery principles, strategies, and tools.
- Facilitate a team approach to member care including with the Magellan care coordination team.
- Document all interactions according to company standards.
- Maintain professional responsibility to maximize supervision, respond appropriately to personal stressors, and recognize crisis situations or risks to the member's safety.
- Travel to meet members within the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Required: Current Idaho peer support specialist certification.

Required: Ability to obtain the National Peer Support Credential (NCPS/NCPRSS) within one year of hire.

Required: Self-identified person in recovery who is a current or former user of mental health/substance use services.

Required: Vehicle in good, working condition with the ability to travel within the community regularly.

Required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite.

Preferred: Associate's Degree.

Preferred: CPRS/CPS/CPSS/CRPS/PRSS, Peer Specialist, State Requirements, Valid Driver's License.

Preferred: NCPS - National Certified Peer Specialist.
Additional Information
- This position requires a home office and daily in-person engagement with members in the community.
- Hiring for this position will take place in the Coeur d' Alene area.

Salary Range: $37,725 - $56,595.
- This position may be eligible for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
