🎯 The Role: Regional Field Lead (RL)
The Regional Field Lead (previously known as Regional Coordinator) is a Trip Development (TD) role focused on ensuring high-quality trips. You'll be a key player in coordinating and mentoring Trip Experts (TEs), managing trip logistics, maintaining vendor relationships, and negotiating with subcontractors. You'll also be responsible for timely and accurate Softrip/Ascent updates and reviewing trip materials.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
- 🧑🏫 Supervise & Mentor: Guide TEs in quality decisions, timely Softrip/Ascent updates, and delivery of guest/leader materials. Provide feedback, mentorship, and conduct performance reviews.
- 🗣️ Communication: Serve as a vital link between the field and office, relaying company communications to field staff.
- 🤝 Recruitment & Onboarding: Recruit, review applications, and onboard new TEs in your region.
- 🚨 Crisis Management: Provide real-time support for on-trip issues and support the weekend on-call team.
- 📈 Trip Quality Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement, review feedback, and provide suggestions to Regional Directors (RDs). Contribute to trip quality and design, including research and pre-search.
- 🤝 Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
- 🏨 Capacity Planning: Help determine trip capacity, working closely with RDs and the hotels team.
- 💼 Private Trips: Respond to private and custom trip requests, collaborating with the Private Trips Team and partners.
💪 What We're Looking For:
- 🧳 Experience: Trip Development experience or prior experience as a Trip Expert or Regional Expert. Extensive trip leading experience in Portugal is a plus.
- 🤝 Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, feedback, analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills. Budgeting and cost management abilities are also valuable.
- 💻 Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- 🗣️ Languages: Portuguese (first language preferred), Spanish (second language preferred).
- 💼 Understanding: A deep understanding of the connection between the office, trips, leaders, and guests, with a focus on quality at every step.
