About the Role:

This field-based Regional Sales Director role leads a team of Account Executives in the Northeast, promoting Guardant Health's SHIELD early cancer detection test to general practice providers. You'll be a key player in the launch and growth of SHIELD.

What You'll Do: 🎯

  • Develop and execute a regional business plan, including budgeting and territory management.
  • Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 8-12 Account Executives.
  • Manage sales targets, forecast accurately, and achieve quarterly and annual goals.
  • Build strong relationships with key thought leaders and decision-makers.
  • Partner with labs to secure phlebotomy draw agreements.
  • Collect customer insights and market trends, communicating findings to leadership.
  • Leverage product expertise to present SHIELD's clinical benefits effectively.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers and the commercial team.
  • Ensure sales force compliance with all company policies and guidelines.
  • Travel approximately 75% of the time within the assigned region (Northeast).

What We're Looking For: 💪

  • 7+ years of customer-facing sales experience in medical, diagnostic, or med device fields, with a proven track record of exceeding expectations.
  • 3+ years of sales leadership/management experience.
  • Measurable revenue generation experience in diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.
  • Experience leading sales teams promoting products/services to primary care providers and gastroenterologists.
  • Experience leading sales teams during a product launch.
  • Exceptional influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  • Proven coaching and educational abilities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with experience tracking sales force metrics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
  • Strong strategic business analysis and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce.com.
  • Experience with various sales methodologies.
  • B.S. in life science, biology, business, or marketing preferred.
