👋 About the Role

Regulatory reporting is crucial for market surveillance by regulators. It helps them spot potential market abuse, insider dealing, and other risks. Accurate and complete reporting is essential for regulators to fulfill their market watch role. Inaccurate reporting can have serious consequences for the bank and its employees.

This team monitors and controls transaction reporting to regulators worldwide on behalf of all group entities. They cover a range of jurisdictions, including EMIR, MIFID, Dodd Frank, and MMSR.

This role offers a chance to gain experience in a fast-paced, complex, and ever-changing regulatory reporting environment. You'll collaborate with various teams and develop your knowledge of markets and products. You should be enthusiastic, adaptable, and focused on control, precision, and maximizing efficiency.

💼 What You'll Do

  • Monitor and Ensure Accuracy: Make sure trade reporting is accurate, timely, and thorough. You'll monitor both internal and external systems.
  • Resolve Operational Rejections: Handle operational rejections across all jurisdictions, analyze them, and resubmit when needed.
  • Answer Regulators' Questions: Respond to or prepare responses to regulators' queries.
  • Investigate and Escalate Issues: Conduct in-depth analysis of issues to pinpoint the root cause (e.g., IT feed problems, incorrect data entry, or flawed reporting logic). Escalate issues to the right teams.
  • Track Fixes and Provide Updates: Monitor fixes, share updates, and provide management with reports.
  • Manage Open Issues: Keep track of open issues and work with IT until they are resolved.
  • Maintain Procedures: Keep procedures up-to-date.
  • Daily Control Plan: Complete the control plan every day.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with colleagues in London, Paris, and Hong Kong, as well as with IT, project managers, and front office teams.

🌟 Skills & Experience We're Looking For

  • Education: A degree in Finance, Economics, or Management is required. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Experience in Operations is beneficial.
  • Financial Product Knowledge: Knowledge of financial products (Equities, Listed Derivatives, Rates, FX, and/or Credit) and the trade lifecycle is a plus.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Knowledge of Regulatory Transaction Reporting (CFTC, EMIR, MIFID, MMSR) is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is a must. French is a plus.
  • Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills are essential, and you should be comfortable working with large data files.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills to track IT issues.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate with management.
  • Prioritization & Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Learning Agility: Willingness and ability to learn new things.
  • Initiative: A proactive approach.
