πΒ The Role:
As a Remote Field Service Technician, you'll provide technical support and service to customers throughout a machine's lifecycle. This involves a mix of hands-on work and problem-solving. You'll be a key player in ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for product improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, install, and integrate complex machinery.
- Meet all established inspection, testing, quality, and operating specifications.
- Guide and supervise customer personnel during installations, integrations, or servicing.
- Identify and resolve hardware or software issues.
- Maintain strong customer relationships.
- Spot new product opportunities and suggest product enhancements.
- Advise customers on necessary parts for their inventory.
- Work from engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Support the Operations Department with technical inquiries.
- Serve as a technical resource for Sales and Engineering.
- Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
- Perform final assembly, quality tests, and equipment preparation.
- Write trip reports updating the company on equipment status.
- Create standard operating procedures for machinery.
- Maintain accurate documentation for service visits and in-house projects.
π οΈΒ What We're Looking For:

Diploma in Electro-Mechanical EngineeringΒ or comparable work experience.

4+ yearsΒ of experience in highly skilled technical support of electro-mechanical products/systems; formal technical training is a plus.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong electro-mechanical skills and experience.
- Problem-solving and independent judgment skills.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and reading complex engineering designs (including wiring schematics).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office).

- Formal technical training.
