As you help people make smart choices about their lives, careers, and money, you'll build strong relationships with clients that get better every year.

Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional working remotely, you'll help clients with different tax needs and have the support of a skilled team. This team is committed to providing you with the advanced tax training you need to succeed.

🎯 What You'll Bring to the Team

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support online tax clients through virtual tools (like video calls, phone, chat, and email).
• Help grow the business, keep clients coming back, and offer new products and services.
• Understand that teamwork is key to our success – communicate and coordinate with leaders and colleagues about how your remote work is affecting results.
• Expand your tax knowledge.

🧠 Your Expertise

• Experience: Completing individual tax returns.
• Experience: Working in a fast-paced setting.
• Requirement: Access to fast, reliable internet.
• Experience and Skills: Technology (especially MS Teams and Outlook).
• Skill: Communicating complex tax matters clearly through phone, email, and chat to build client confidence.
• Experience: Using great customer service skills.
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving.
• Requirement: Successfully completing the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or a similar assessment.
• Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Requirement: Completing continuing education requirements and meeting all IRS and applicable state rules.
• Requirement: Ability to work at least 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Skill: Researching information using different tax and publication tools to understand client needs (like IRS Publications/Instructions).

➕ It Would Be Even Better If You Also Had...

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex tax returns
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax
• Experience leading virtual tax interviews that build client confidence
• Tax planning and audit support experience
• Sales and/or marketing experience
