📅 A Typical Day

As a remote Tax Professional, you'll build strong relationships with clients and help them make informed decisions about their finances.

Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional working remotely, you'll help clients with their tax needs. You'll have support from a great team and get access to advanced tax training to help you succeed.

🤝 What You'll Bring to the Team

• Conducting tax interviews with clients and supporting online tax clients using virtual tools (like video calls, phone, chat, and email).
• Growing the business, keeping clients coming back, and suggesting other products and services.
• Understanding the importance of teamwork – communicating and coordinating regularly with leaders and colleagues about your remote work and its impact.
• Expanding your tax knowledge.

🌟 Your Expertise

• Experience: Completing individual tax returns.
• Experience: Working in a fast-paced environment.
• Essential: Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience: Skilled in using technology, particularly MS Teams and Outlook.
• Skill: Communicating complex tax information clearly to clients through phone, email, and chat.
• Experience: Utilizing effective customer service strategies.
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Requirement: Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or an equivalent assessment.
• Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requirement: Completing continuing education requirements and meeting all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• Requirement: Availability to work at least 20 hours a week during peak tax season.
• Skill: Researching information using tax tools to understand client needs (like IRS publications and instructions).

➕ Nice-to-Haves

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex tax returns.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews that build client confidence.
• Tax planning and audit support experience.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
