🏢 The Role:

As a Crisis Counselor, you'll be a telephonic first responder, providing support to individuals experiencing emotional distress or mental health challenges. You'll work remotely from your home in Pennsylvania.

What You'll Do:

• 📞 Provide empathetic support via phone to individuals in crisis.
• 🤝 Build rapport and engage clients effectively.
• 📝 Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of calls.
• ➡️ Provide resources, information, and referrals as needed.
• 🤔 Help callers identify coping strategies and develop safety plans.
• 🚨 Intervene during emergencies.
• 🧘‍♀️ Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Need:

• 🎓 Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.
• 💼 Minimum 1 year of direct experience in Behavioral Health or Social Services.
• 🔒 Secure, HIPAA-compliant home workspace with a locking door (essential for client confidentiality).
• 💻 Stable, wired internet connection meeting company standards (for reliable connection to provided work computer).

Preferred Experience:

While not required, experience in crisis support or similar roles is highly valued.

📅 Training:

The role includes a paid, six-week virtual cohort training program (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST). This intensive training covers various learning modalities, including live call-taking, to prepare you for success. Successful completion is required for continued employment.

⏰ Schedule:

Post-training, your schedule will be developed in partnership with Protocall's Scheduling Department during your onboarding process. Flexibility is required, including weekend and holiday availability.
