OpenX, the world's largest people-based advertising exchange, is looking for a Sales Director to join our US Buyer Development team.Β This individual contributor role will be key to expanding OpenX's business with brand advertisers and global ad agencies during a period of rapid growth for our company.

You'll need to have a solid understanding of programmatic advertising and the broader advertising landscape, with experience working at or with major advertising agency holding companies.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • 🀝 Build strong relationships and drive revenue with assigned holding companies, brands, agencies, agency trading desks (ATDs), consultancies, and managed service providers.
  • 🀝 Work closely with account teams at agencies representing the top 200 global brands to activate private marketplaces.
  • 🀝 Develop deals that help advertisers connect with their target audiences and desired inventory across OpenX's suite of premium publishers.
  • 🀝 Prospect and connect with potential buyers, using a discovery strategy and sales narrative designed to drive Programmatic Direct spend.
  • 🀝 Provide support for strategic deals by driving transactional business and consistent deal-based revenue.
  • 🀝 Manage a pipeline of opportunities in Salesforce and provide regular reporting to management on deal progress.
  • 🀝 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver OpenX's suite of programmatic and identity-based solutions to clients.

πŸ’ͺ Required Qualifications & Skills

  • πŸ“ˆ 7+ years of programmatic advertising experience at an advertising agency, brand, or other ad tech firm.
  • 🀝 Strong relationships with marketers, agencies, and ATDs, or previous agency experience working closely with ad tech companies (DSP, DMP, Ad Server, etc.).
  • πŸ—£οΈ Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • πŸ—“οΈ Highly organized, with experience successfully managing multiple projects to tight deadlines.
  • πŸ’» A clear understanding of SSPs/exchanges and programmatic buying fundamentals.
  • ✈️ Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • πŸŽ“ BS/BA degree required or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. MBA is a plus!

  • πŸ’» Deep familiarity with ad tech, SSPs, DSPs, and the programmatic landscape, as well as with internal organizational structures at brands, agencies, ATDs, and consultancies.

  • 🎯 Well-versed in programmatic audience strategy: CRM, CDP, DMP, 1P+2P+3P data, the future-focused people-based marketing landscape, etc.

  • πŸ—£οΈ Strong executive presence and comfortable presenting to clients at all levels.
