The Role 🎯

As a Sales Engineer on our US Aluminum Sales team, you'll be solution-selling and servicing accounts in the Midwest (Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, and parts of Indiana). You'll grow and maintain your assigned territory. This is a remote position, ideally suited for someone based near Indianapolis, IN, or Chicago, IL, for easy customer visits. We are looking for someone who is eligible to work in the US. We don't sponsor visas.

What You'll Do ⚙️

  • Support sales and gross margin growth.
  • Accurately forecast sales and budget.
  • Support new product/service launches.
  • Manage inventory and stocking agreements effectively.
  • Gather customer satisfaction data, intelligence, and activity documentation.
  • Develop financial, business, and strategic analyses for division management.
  • Identify revenue-increasing, profit-enhancing, and asset-utilization opportunities.
  • Create and present business results presentations.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Report trips and communicate internally using CRM.

What We're Looking For 🤔

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of sales experience in a technical or process-related industry—aluminum or foundry experience is a plus. Proven B2B sales success is essential. CRM and reporting experience is also necessary. Ideally, you'll live near Indianapolis, IN, or Chicago, IL.
  • Customer Service: Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and business development, with a deep understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Ability to handle challenging customer situations and consistently meet commitments.
  • People Skills: Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively as part of a team. Ability to collaborate positively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly, promptly, and effectively, including creating and delivering presentations. Ability to influence and negotiate constructively.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Hands-on experience with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Business Acumen: Sound judgment in handling confidential information. Ability to work independently, solve problems resourcefully, and make sound decisions within your area of responsibility. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to review specifications for customer quotes and order accuracy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements 🧍‍♀️

Ability to sit for extended periods, bend, reach, climb stairs, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing). Proficient computer and telephone use.

Work Environment 🏭

Work will be primarily remote, but will include time in an office and manufacturing environments. PPE is required in the manufacturing environment, where you'll be regularly exposed to noise, heat, and cold.
