The Role πΌ
This remote Sales Manager position focuses on driving group room nights and catering revenue for Rio Las Vegas. You'll manage a defined market, securing business through various development strategies. This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record in the hospitality industry.
What Youβll Do
- Maintain exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, convention organizers, trade show representatives, and intermediaries.
- Solicit new group business through prospecting, networking, and relationship management.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Analyze and communicate market trends.
- Manage customer interactions within the sales system.
- Handle RFPs, evaluate profitability, and respond to leads promptly.
- Develop solutions for existing and new business opportunities.
- Prepare proposals, conduct site inspections, and manage contracts.
- Negotiate contract terms with legal counsel and service teams.
- Collaborate with on-property teams for pre-con meetings and on-site customer support.
- Develop and implement a strategic business development plan.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Participate in team training and development.
What Weβre Looking For

Minimum five yearsΒ of progressive hospitality sales experience; Hyatt sales and remote work experience are highly valued.
- Proven ability in long-term relationship management.
- Flexibility to travel and work nights/weekends as needed; includes regular trips to Las Vegas.
- Dedicated, distraction-free home office setup.
- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and solution-oriented approach.
- Self-motivation and personal accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive approach with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet deadlines.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Envision; experience with Delphi or similar group sales CRM systems is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
- Physical stamina for various tasks (pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, kneeling, balancing).
Working Conditions
- Indoor, climate-controlled environment with potential exposure to noise, dust, and smoke.
Location & Work Arrangement:
Remote, home-office based within a 1-2 hour commute of Chicago, IL, or the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX metro areas.
