Job Summary

The Senior Account Executive (SAE) role is responsible for finding new customers and closing sales to meet budgeted sales goals.
This position develops and carries out sound selling plans that make sure revenue grows at the target level or better in terms of profit by selling to new customers.
The role is also responsible for managing current business relationships to meet budgeted sales and price goals.
This is done by developing and using sound retention plans, using strong negotiation efforts to keep business, and getting contract agreements from customers who were not previously contracted.
The Senior Account Executive will "save, secure, and convert" by handling all customer cancellation requests.
This includes giving ongoing education about contract details to current customers and getting customer contract commitments during face-to-face meetings.
All customer service problems within the defined area will be solved by this position.
SAEs are responsible for keeping and growing the billable value in their assigned accounts.
This position is remote but will require the employee to live in the greater Denver, CO area based on customer needs.
The employee will need to visit customer sites most of the week, with the rest of the week being work from home.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Senior Account Executives are responsible for keeping and growing billable value in their assigned accounts.
They prevent customer account losses and grow billable value by selling permanent new waste streams, new services, and new products to current and potential customers.
Start business-to-business sales relationships.
Responsible for finding and closing sales chances to meet budgeted sales goals by developing and using sound selling plans.
Manage potential customers by developing sound plans for developing prospects and keeping key information in the prospect database.
Keep the sales pipeline (in terms of both amount and quality) to meet new sales goals.
Reduce most revenue and accounts by keeping SSDO relationship health standards and stopping cancellation requests.
Meet or go past goals for sales call activity for proactive account retention.
Increase revenue and profit by carrying out sound plans on retention calls to make the customers’ service and/or profit better.
Establish and keep a high level of customer satisfaction.
Suggest customer solutions that follow the right local, state, and federal rules.
Talk with and work with the Area Sales Managers to solve unique customer problems.
Show knowledge of customers’ needs, pricing, and competition.
Effectively share pricing and service plans.
Actively look for other WM business chances, referring internally when right.
Get deep industry and company knowledge to prepare complex proposals and make suggestions on equipment setup and leasing choices.
Keep current knowledge of internal sales plans and operational abilities, and external market trends.
Work closely and talk effectively with Plant Managers and Brokerage Account Managers to help upgrade materials to increase profit and meet plant goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in place of a degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of related work experience.
4 years of work experience in direct outside business-to-business sales, cold calling, and phone-based prospecting that resulted in successfully getting customer appointments (in addition to education requirement).

Physical Requirements
This job mostly happens in a professional office setting and regularly needs the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
This position will require frequent customer site visits.
