The Role: 🤔

As a Senior Application Analyst in our Enterprise Systems (ES) unit, you'll be a key player in supporting the university's mission by developing and managing application software systems. You'll work within the Academic Applications team, focusing on technology solutions for student academic lifecycle needs.

What You'll Do: 🎯

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, end-users, and external partners to analyze business needs, design solutions, and ensure effective teamwork.
• Analyze user requests, identify potential issues, and propose optimal solutions.
• Create detailed program specifications, manage solution deployment, and guarantee positive outcomes.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, deployment, and testing of application software (new features, enhancements, and bug fixes).
• Conduct testing and support user acceptance testing for new processes.
• Investigate user issues, pinpoint causes, and find solutions.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Mentor, guide, and review the work of other technical staff, ensuring quality.
• Serve as a top technical expert in one or more specialized application systems analysis and programming areas.

What We're Looking For: 💪

• Master's degree or bachelor's degree in technology, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and SQL.
• Experience analyzing complex business processes and gathering requirements from non-technical users.
• Experience in the full system lifecycle (requirements gathering, analysis, development, programming, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of large enterprise systems).
• Substantial customer service experience.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and business users.

• Experience with cloud-based ERPs.
• Experience developing web applications using relational databases.
• Experience with Spring-based applications (Spring Boot).
• Experience developing web application UIs using React and Material UI.
• Experience with Git and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with higher education business processes, applications, and integrations.
• Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining API integrations.
• Knowledge of modern integration design patterns and anti-patterns.
• Understanding of API security best practices.
• Experience using REST and SOAP-based web services, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner modules.
• Experience with Dell Boomi or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
• A strong, self-motivated desire to learn and apply new technologies.
