About the Role We're looking for our first Senior Backend Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, designers, and medical doctors. You'll be responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing interface solutions that enable the use and application of our AI models. This is a fantastic opportunity for backend developers who want to contribute to cutting-edge AI solutions.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with our team to design, build, and maintain robust backend systems.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Manage and scale our database infrastructure (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB).
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Collaborate with our AI team to ensure seamless integration of AI models into our applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development and AI.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python (must-have).
• Strong understanding of web concepts and technologies (HTTP, RESTful APIs, etc.).
• Experience with web frameworks like Flask (preferred).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure (preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) (a plus).
• Familiarity with Google Cloud services (a plus).
• Experience in developing AI inference services.
• Knowledge of message brokers and streaming platforms (e.g., PubSub, SQS, Kafka).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible).
