The Role:Β π―
AsΒ Senior Director, Asset Management, you'll oversee the financial performance of SB Energy's utility-scale solar PV plant portfolio across the United States. You'll lead a team, contribute to the Annual Operating Plan, and ensure projects meet or exceed financial targets.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the Asset Management (AM) team.
- Manage project P&L and ensure portfolio performance meets or exceeds the Annual Operating Plan.
- Lead the team in developing the AOP.
- Analyze energy markets and their impact on the portfolio.
- Develop and manage project annual budgets and monthly reports.
- Manage internal AM KPIs.
- Coordinate with accounting for timely payments and accurate billing.
- Ensure project companies comply with financing documents.
- Review and approve cash distributions to financing parties.
- Review investor reports and resolve any issues.
- Review financial statements and annual tax returns.
- Analyze performance reports, identify issues, and create improvement initiatives.
- Manage project contracts for compliance. Implement standardized contract management and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with legal and contracts teams on amendments.
- Manage the handover process from development, finance, and construction teams.
- Collaborate internally and externally to identify revenue-increasing and risk-mitigation opportunities.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders (offtakers, landowners, ISOs, regulators, financing parties).
- Manage and resolve contractual, regulatory, and commercial issues.
- Review settlement statements, create revenue invoices, and manage disputes.
- Participate in vendor relationship reviews (including O&M providers).
- Assist in acquisition due diligence, identifying operational risks, costs, and improvement opportunities.
- Experience with Portfolio Valuation and Management in traded electricity (ERCOT and CAISO preferred) and natural gas markets.
- Experience with traded products and hedging instruments such as Swaps, Options, FTR/CRRs, PTPs and virtuals.
- Experience with operational risk surround margining and clearing traded products.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (PMP, MBA) preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in the energy industry.
- Knowledge of the energy and renewable energy market, including technologies, regulations, and trends.
- Strong commercial acumen, prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.
- Understanding of integrated plant operations (a plus).
- Experience with ISO market scheduling, forecasting, settlements, and hedging.
- Strong understanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and contract/warranty negotiations.
- Experience with Asset Management software.
- Proficiency with standard financial metrics and analyses (IRR, ROI, NPV, DCF models).
- Experience creating and performing financial modeling.
- Strong learning skills and ability to independently research and implement new knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint).

- Up to 25% domestic travel (when normal travel resumes).

Base Pay:Β $180,000 - $220,000 (Actual compensation depends on various factors).
