📅 About the Role The Senior Director, Project Management Office is responsible for establishing and leading the PMO to ensure projects are executed effectively and align with the organization's strategic objectives. This is a new role aimed at making project management a core part of how the organization works.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Establish enterprise-wide project management standards, templates, and governance processes to keep project execution consistent and high-quality.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of a comprehensive project management training program to improve PMO skills across the organization.
  • Lead the prioritization and selection of projects to make sure they align with strategic goals.
  • Oversee project portfolio management, including monitoring progress, how resources are used, and managing risks.
  • Be responsible for projects and programs managed by the PMO being successfully delivered.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Implement project performance metrics and reporting systems to track progress, find issues, and help decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by doing post-project reviews and using what's learned to make PMO practices better.
  • Adjust PMO practices to fit the organization's maturity level, making sure that processes are efficient, flexible, and can grow as the business does.
  • Manage and develop the PMO team, offering mentorship and support to project managers.

💼 What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in project management (PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in project management and PMO leadership, preferably in a large and complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain the value of PMO to both project teams and executive leadership.
