The Role 💼:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll be a key player in the financial health of CommonSpirit Health's National Real Estate Services, supporting our Facility Management team. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote and onsite work in Denver, Colorado.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and present monthly budget summaries, variance reports, year-end analyses, projections, and other special reports to the National Real Estate team.
- Oversee CommonSpirit Health's National Real Estate Facility Management partnerships, monitoring expenses, invoices, contractual KPIs, and savings targets.
- Provide detailed spend analysis for the Region/Market Facility Management team, categorized by vendor and cost, to identify operational improvements.
- Contribute to value capture initiatives, collaborating with leadership and teams on strategy, analysis, accounting, forecasting, and reporting across NRES programs and key projects.
- Collaborate with team members to determine capital and operating expenses for facility projects.
- Leverage Lawson and other software to support analyses and make recommendations to NRES teams.
- Assist NRES teams with purchasing and accounts payable issues, working with internal departments to resolve data discrepancies.
- Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiencies through financial analysis, identifying trends and variances.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly project reporting, and the annual capital planning initiative.
- Develop key metrics using system software, external benchmarks, and internal data, identifying trends and variances through management reports and financial analysis.
- Handle other job-related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working with multiple systems (project management, reporting, accounting); experience with construction projects and project management teams; and a solid understanding of accounting/finance terminology, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Preferred: Healthcare or hospital experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel proficiency is a must); Google Workspace experience is a plus. Proficiency in Lawson is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to review financial reports, identify spending trends and variances, synthesize and analyze complex data.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong ability to prioritize, balance workflow, and meet deadlines.
