Senior Full-Stack Developer Kotlin & TypeScript

Your Mission

• Design and implement new services using Kotlin (Backend) and React (Frontend).
• Support the further development or redevelopment of existing legacy systems (PHP).
• Take responsibility for modernizing critical business processes, including the migration of core services to a service-oriented architecture with Kotlin/Spring Boot, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Actively contribute to shaping the architecture, API landscape, and technical standards to develop scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Ensure clean code, testability, and maintainability, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices within the team.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders such as the CTO, Tech Lead, Product Owner, etc., actively participate in agile processes, and support as well as coach team members.

Your Profile

• Several years of professional experience in software development, either with Kotlin or with Java plus initial exposure or willingness to learn Kotlin.
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript and one or more frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, Vue.js, Next.js) – React preferred.
• Deep understanding of modern architecture designs, plus Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and the ability to effectively apply these principles in development.
• Write readable, testable, and clean code and place great importance on high code quality and maintainability.
• Experience in refactoring large applications and can efficiently modernize existing systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and knowledge of cloud services, ideally AWS.
• Willingness to work on the still existing legacy monolith infrastructure, while focusing on the new micro-services infrastructure, if needed.
• Pragmatic problem solver who can balance technical excellence with business requirements.
• Fluent English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Spring Boot experience is beneficial.
• German language skills are a plus.
