Responsibilities 🛠️
- Build the best mobile application for learning and teaching Data Science and AI
- Contribute significantly to the technical direction of the mobile app product
- Work with the latest front-end and back-end technologies to solve challenging problems
- Improve existing learning features and build new ones from scratch
- Take ownership of several components in our microservices architecture
- Collaborate closely with team members to build scalable solutions
- Inspire and grow fellow engineers through support, coaching, and mentoring
Qualifications 💪
- 5+ years of mobile development experience with successful app launches using technologies like React Native, GraphQL, and NodeJS
- Intuitive understanding of common performance problems in mobile applications (e.g., excessive rerendering, dropped frames, memory leaks)
- Ideas on creating a robust release strategy with technologies such as CodePush, incremental rollouts, and release health monitoring
- Experience building an awesome mobile CI pipeline with automated releases and end-to-end testing
- Experience writing Swift/Objective-C or Java/Kotlin when required
- Practical experience with strongly-typed languages such as Flow or TypeScript
- Excellent collaboration skills and a team player mentality
- Pragmatic problem-solving approach and a results-oriented mindset
