⚙️ About the Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll be a key player in network infrastructure management and development. You’ll collaborate closely with expert network architects and engineers, monitoring and supporting our infrastructure, automating tasks, optimizing efficiency, and exploring new cloud services and tools. Your expertise will directly shape our operational approach, improving our network's reliability, cost-effectiveness, and security.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to successful implementation of network automation projects, focusing on improving capacity, scalability, performance, and security.
  • Research, design, implement, and document network infrastructure automation solutions; create standard practices across enterprise operations to improve production environment operations and cost structures.
  • Support the seamless operation of network and security infrastructure, equipment, services, and monitoring tools.
  • Provide technical input to architectural and operational discussions regarding network infrastructure, automation, and tools.
  • Suggest improvements to standards configuration and change management processes.
  • Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines.
  • Develop innovative solutions and write Python and Ansible code daily.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay current with the latest DevOps technologies and best practices.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and provide incident response support as needed.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required.

This role is fully remote. U.S. employees can live in any of the 50 states (with limited exceptions).

💰 Compensation

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington, D.C., the standard base pay range is $121,700.00 - $194,300.00 annually. This range is specific to those states and may not apply to other locations. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for equity awards based on experience, performance, and location.

💼 What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex networking solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in IPv6 and network automation (Ansible, Python, Terraform). Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation across multi-cloud environments. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and cloud-native deployment tooling. Strong foundation in networking (Juniper/Cisco and non-Cisco) technologies. Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.

➕ Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in network/security technologies (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, Cisco DevNet, JNCIP).
  • Cloud provider certifications (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect Associate).
  • Experience with large-scale AWS networking, IPv6, SASE/SSE, Juniper firewalls, and Infrastructure as Code for cloud network components.
  • Knowledge of Linux platforms, container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), and interfacing with cloud infrastructure via APIs.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Experience researching emerging technologies and synthesizing them into clear technology roadmaps and strategies.
