As a senior member of Nomic's Technical Sales team, you'll spearhead the adoption of our groundbreaking nELISA platform, transforming the proteomics field. You'll blend technical expertise and sales acumen to identify and engage potential clients within the BioPharma sector, showcasing nELISA's advantages in high-plex proteomics. This is a key role in driving new account business.

You're a dynamic, motivated sales professional passionate about enabling new proteomic technologies. You have a proven track record in technical sales, excelling at understanding and communicating complex technical concepts. You thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments and are eager to make a significant impact. You're excited to join a small, high-growth team, contributing across all sales areas with an entrepreneurial spirit. You're comfortable presenting to senior executives and delivering technical academic talks. Prioritizing sales activities and working effectively with high autonomy comes naturally. You value team accountability and enjoy collaborative work, creative deal-making, and developing impactful sales strategies.

💼 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Identify and engage potential clients, effectively presenting our nELISA platform.
  • Create and deliver technical sales presentations to prospective customers.
  • Generate new business by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives, leading partner engagements and acting as a key commercial voice with internal teams.
  • Partner with Account Managers to develop account-specific sales strategies.
  • Balance strategic and transactional opportunities to optimize sales outcomes and manage sales funnel health for accurate forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Product teams to create customer-driven solutions.
  • Attend industry and academic conferences as a technical sales lead.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and funding intelligence to identify new opportunities.

✅ Skills & Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience, exceeding sales targets, particularly in Pharma and Biotech.
  • Strong technical background, quickly grasping novel applications to maximize Nomic product use cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, forecasting, and funnel management.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% (all expenses reimbursed). Location: Remote, based in California (SF Bay Area or San Diego).
