The Role:

This Software Engineer Internship provides hands-on experience while you're still in school. You'll learn to code, test, and document software changes, collaborate in agile teams, and contribute innovative solutions. You'll also gain insight into Synchrony's technology landscape and enterprise-level solution management processes.

What You'll Do:

• 🔎 Research and help find solutions for complex technical problems.
• 💻 Develop solutions using cutting-edge technologies and frameworks.
• 💡 Work on Proof-of-Concepts to address challenging technical issues.
• 📝 Document and present solutions using flowcharts, diagrams, etc.
• 🧪 Support integration and system-level testing.
• 🎯 Contribute to other duties and special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• Required:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Solid Computer Science fundamentals in OOAD, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Good understanding of Spring, JEE technologies, REST APIs, and UI technologies/frameworks.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript front-end frameworks like Angular and React.
  • Understanding of microservice architectural patterns and design.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
• Preferred:
  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills (data, software, and technical).
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.

Additional Information:

• Grade/Level: 07
• Eligibility: Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship). Background check and drug test required.
