The Role π§βπ»
We're searching for a Solutions Architect to join our growing service delivery team. This role requires experience in one or more of these areas: Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, Cloud Infrastructure, Real-World Data, and/or Genomic Medicine. You'll work directly with our commercial team, scientists, engineers, and clients to solve problems in genomics and precision medicine.
What You'll Do π―
- Technical Customer Support: Provide expert bioinformatics, cloud infrastructure, and genomics support, helping clients overcome technical hurdles and reach their project goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Commercial, and Executive teams to shape strategy, improve technical sales pitches, and support pharmaceutical client engagement through tailored communication and proposal development.
- Sales Enablement & Solution Development: Develop and deliver technical demos and presentations showcasing Lifebit's platform. Create and manage solution proposals, RFP responses, and delivery plans, ensuring solutions meet client needs and strategic goals.
- Client Engagement & Support: Be a trusted technical advisor, guiding clients on best practices and providing ongoing support throughout the sales and implementation process. Maintain alignment with client needs and offer solution delivery expertise.
- Insights & Best Practices: Capture project insights and client feedback, sharing knowledge across teams to improve Lifebit's product offerings. Provide technical guidance for team training and development.
- Industry Expertise & Innovation: Stay current on bioinformatics, multi-omics, and cloud technologies, applying best practices to ensure Lifebit's solutions are industry-leading. Work with developers, administrators, architects, and C-suite clients to design and implement impactful solutions.
- Solution Lifecycle Management: Translate clients' project visions for the development team, ensuring solutions fit within existing offerings and address technical, business, and user requirements. Contribute to the concept, design, evaluation, and prototyping of client solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Be a subject matter expert, fostering thought leadership in bioinformatics and cloud computing within the healthcare software landscape.
What We're Looking For π€
- Experience: 3+ years in a technical, customer-facing role (sales, solutions, or product management), ideally in healthcare or life sciences.
- Education: BSc in computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field (MSc/PhD preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of bioinformatics, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and genomics data management.
- Skills: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and technical writing skills; ability to create tailored presentations for diverse audiences.
- SDLC Understanding: Solid understanding of design principles, SDLC, and best practices for solution development.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare and life sciences industry standards (data security, compliance, and interoperability).
- Travel: 1-2 trips per quarter within the USA to meet with prospects or clients on-site.
Preferred Qualifications π
- Technical sales experience or experience supporting a sales organization with solutions architecture.
- AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Knowledge of R/Python or experience building pipelines in Nextflow.
- Experience in data management, clinical research, or precision medicine solutions.
- Strong understanding of US healthcare ecosystems and experience with EHR or multi-omics data integration.
