About the Opportunity:
An international institution seeks an experienced Solutions Architect for a full-time remote contract position. This is a long-term opportunity, and a work permit is not required. Fluency in English is essential.
What You'll Do:
- 💻 Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of solutions architecture across various business applications and technologies, aligning with the organization's strategy and requirements.
- 🔎 Analysis & Improvement: Analyze the current IT environment and solution portfolio, identifying deficiencies and proposing improvements.
- 💡 Technology Trends: Stay updated on technology trends and apply them to enable new business and operating models.
- 🎯 Architecture Governance: Define principles, guidelines, and standards to ensure solution alignment with the organization's architecture vision. Direct governance activities to maintain assurance and compliance.
- ⚙️ Software Selection & Design: Evaluate and select software products and services. Design standard and custom software configurations.
- 🤝 Collaboration & Consultation: Consult with development projects to ensure alignment with architecture. Collaborate with business stakeholders, PMO, and IT staff.
- 📝 Documentation: Document all solution architecture designs and analyses.
What We're Looking For:
- 🎓 Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- 💼 Experience: 5+ years of recent experience in IT solution development, encompassing technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, software design, and software architecture. Recent experience architecting solutions linking mobile (especially Android) and server-side solutions is a must.
- 💪 Leadership & Decision-Making: Proven leadership and decision-making abilities.
- 🏆 Project Delivery: Experience successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects, ideally at a global level.
- 🧠 Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise technical architecture components. Strong understanding of application development methodologies, infrastructure, and network architecture.
- 💻 Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one popular software development language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++, PHP, or C#).
- ⚙️ SDLC Expertise: Experience with SDLC practices (and tools) such as code versioning, packaging, TDD, continuous integration, test automation, code analysis, and code quality metrics.
- 📱 Mobile Development: Experience designing and developing complex mobile solutions (particularly Android).
- 🌐 Microservices: Experience designing and implementing service-oriented (ideally microservice) architectures.
- ☁️ Infrastructure: Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting infrastructure services (network, container, virtual machine, or operating system levels).
- 🗣️ Communication: Experienced working with senior-level management. Fluent in English.
