🚀 The Role:


As Special Assistant to the CEO, you'll be a key player, providing operational, administrative, and strategic support. You'll manage the CEO's schedule, correspondence, and act as a liaison, escalating important issues. You'll also support the Chief of National Engagement and Partnerships (CNEP) with administrative tasks and data entry. You'll play a significant role in fund development, maintaining donor records and assisting with scheduling.


🎯 What You'll Do:


  • Manage the CEO's office, handling scheduling, travel, and correspondence.
  • Support the CNEP with administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Assist with fund development, maintaining donor records and communications.
  • Manage projects, track progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with staff and external partners.
  • Develop presentations and other materials.
  • Support the launch of new initiatives and partnerships.
  • Maintain a 360-degree view of the organization, keeping the CEO informed.
  • Skillfully navigate various systems, organizations, and relationships.

  • Expertise in Google Apps and Salesforce (or ability to quickly learn).

  • Data interpretation and analysis skills.
  • Foundational knowledge of systemic racism, intersectionality, and oppression.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply DEI skills.

  • Experience supporting executive offices.
  • Experience with nonprofits, boards, and philanthropy.
  • Experience critically analyzing the impact of non-profit and philanthropic engagement.

📅 Details:


  • Classification: Full-time, Exempt
  • Location: Remote, United States
  • Hours: 40+ per week, flexible, with availability to support a CEO based in ET and respond to urgent requests outside of regular hours.
  • Travel: Currently suspended due to COVID, but could be up to 15% in the future.
  • Reports to: CEO

💰 Compensation & Benefits:


  • Salary: $70,000 to $100,000 annually
  • Health Coverage: National medical, dental, and vision coverage (FFI contributes significantly to premiums). Health & Dependent Care FSA, and HRA.
  • Paid Time Off: 11 holidays, up to three days of service/civic engagement, up to 120 accrued vacation hours, and up to 96 hours sick/personal leave.
