Sr. Site Launch Engineer

💼 About the Role:

As a Senior Site Launch Engineer at DP World, you'll be a key player in ensuring the seamless launch of new manufacturing facilities. You'll collaborate with solutions and operations teams, leveraging your expertise in warehouse automation to optimize designs and processes. This is a remote role with up to 70% travel, primarily to Auburn Hills, Michigan; Atlanta, Georgia; Pennsylvania; and Toronto, Canada.

🚀 What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with the Solutions Engineering team as a subject matter expert (SME) to ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget launches. This includes meeting build objectives like PPAP achievement, rate runs, DV/PV parts, and trial runs.
• Serve as the Engineering SME for standards design, implementation, adoption, and future development at each site.
• Develop and document processes and flowcharts, reviewing all standards to ensure SOPs accurately reflect each site's unique operations.
• Drive continuous process improvement by working with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
• Coordinate and lead launch activities, including kickoff meetings, discovery, UAT, and go-live processes, ensuring all milestones are met.
• Support the development of risk mitigation plans and validation strategies for quality launches.
• Collaborate with the Solutions Engineering team to integrate lessons learned into future solutions.

✅ What We're Looking For:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Logistics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation).
• Required: 7-10 years of experience managing launch activities for production, including workflow design, cell layouts, and trial runs.
• Required: Proficiency with motion time system tools (e.g., MOST, MTM).
• Required: Strong background in agile project management.
• Required: Experience implementing WCS/WES systems.
• Required: Willingness to travel 70-80%.

➕ Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP Certification
• Expertise in Greenfield and Brownfield facility launches
• Experience with automation technologies (machine vision, robotics, sortation, conveyance, autonomous systems)
• Solid understanding of control systems and IT-OT convergence

💰 Compensation:

DP World offers a market-competitive compensation package. The expected hiring range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000, but may vary based on qualifications.
