As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for the strategic goal of increasing revenue generation by selling into the open areas within your assigned territory through Carrier prospects and existing accounts. This enables them to become more successful, profitable, and secure online.

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a strategic sales plan and account plans to get the most out of territory opportunities through existing customer revenue growth.
  • Acting as the main, trusted contact point for key customer stakeholders, building relationships and ensuring customer success.
  • Partnering with sales engineers, internal support resources, and channel partners to make sure there is a consultative engagement with prospects.
  • Using marketing resources to create and manage a high-volume sales pipeline.
  • Communicating effectively with all levels of prospective buyers and internally at Akamai.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
  • Show relevant experience or related familiarity with the role.
  • Have relevant sales experience working with Carriers, increasing new and existing business.
  • Have experience selling security, software, and/or cloud computing solutions.
  • Have a proven track record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quota and successfully finishing complex sales cycles.
  • Show excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
