The Role: 💼
As a Supervisor, Reimbursement Patient Access at Guardant Health, you'll provide exceptional support to our customers, clinical laboratory, sales representatives, and billing vendor. You'll be a key player in ensuring smooth financial processes and excellent patient communication.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise a team of Reimbursement Patient Access Specialists.
- Conduct regular team and individual staff meetings.
- Approve timecards and time-off requests.
- Guarantee timely and accurate resolution of financial cases and patient outreach.
- Perform regular audits to verify data accuracy and insurance validity.
- Evaluate and update processes to adapt to changing sample volume and policies.
- Verify incoming requisitions for payment type and data accuracy.
- Check incoming requisitions for patient insurance eligibility (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
- Contact clients and patients to obtain or verify billing data.
- Inform clients and patients about our Financial Assistance Program.
- Export data from LIMS and upload it into various applications.
- Document all phone calls and follow-up activities.
- Contact physicians and medical personnel to obtain missing billing information.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reimbursement, pre-billing, and FAP.
- Perform quality checks to ensure data entry accuracy.
- Handle reimbursement and billing calls.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven ability to work effectively in teams with internal employees, contractors, and managers.
- Exceptional multitasking and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently with good judgment in a dynamic setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility with working hours to meet operational needs.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

- Hybrid Work Model: Enjoy a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. (Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process).
- Competitive Salary: $75,500 - $120,800 (Palo Alto/Redwood City range: $100,700 - $135,900). This range does not include benefits, bonus, commission, or equity.
