About the Role ๐
As Technical Enablement Manager, reporting to the Global Customer Solutions Group (CSG) Role Excellence leader and working closely with the VP of EMEA CSG, you'll equip Confluent's EMEA CSG teams with the knowledge of our new products, platforms, and solutions. This involves active participation in our new product introduction (NPI) program and developing training for new hires and ongoing enablement. A top-tier CSG is crucial for customer success, and this role ensures our teams are technically and operationally prepared.
What You'll Do ๐ฏ
- Own EMEA Customer Solutions Group readiness for new Confluent product releases, go-to-market initiatives, and tools/processes impacting CSG success in the EMEA region.
- Develop and implement an enablement framework to enhance technical skills, operational readiness, and professional development.
- Collaborate with CSG, Sales, and Marketing leadership to plan quarterly field enablement.
- Lead content creation, working with Confluent's engineering and product teams. While you won't develop content from scratch, you'll independently find answers, contribute technically, and review material effectiveness.
- Manage cross-functional readiness programs and facilitate CSG enablement events.
- Manage project timelines and SME resource allocation to create high-impact enablement resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with peer Technical Instructors and Learning Designers.
- Partner with the CSG Leadership Team to plan enablement initiatives.
- Develop post-launch follow-up methods to assess enablement content and program effectiveness.
- Continuously improve our release readiness programs for efficiency, scalability, and overall readiness improvement.
- Represent the CSG team in new product architecture reviews, identifying and communicating risks and enablement gaps.
- Collaborate with content management and enablement colleagues, adhering to the content lifecycle process for product releases, onboarding, and other enablement programs.
- Define, track, and regularly evaluate release readiness/enablement KPIs based on feedback and data.
What You'll Bring ๐ช
- MBA preferred (but not required)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role (Professional Services, Sales Engineering)
- OR 5+ years in technical program management and technical marketing
- OR 7+ years building and running enablement programs for customer-facing technical teams
- Strong technical background; ability to understand and explain complex technical topics.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; experience communicating at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Open, growth mindset; self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
