The Role 💼

As a Technical Sales Representative at Emerson, you'll be a strategic partner to customers in the process industry, driving sales of measurement instrumentation in Northern Louisiana and surrounding areas. This is a remote, field-based position requiring significant travel.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with customers to understand their needs and recommend solutions.
  • Use sales strategies and CRM tools to promote and sell Emerson's products.
  • Conduct territory analysis and strategic planning to identify opportunities.
  • Secure major project business and close deals effectively.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Develop product-based solutions to address customer pain points.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of technical sales experience in the automation industry.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory, including frequent overnight stays.
  • Ability to travel outside the territory for training and meetings.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
