Traveling Retail Construction Superintendent β Remote (USA)

Powerhouse is a national construction and facilities maintenance provider specializing in retail and commercial renovations. The company manages large scale projects from mobilization to completion, providing oversight for day to day operations in live retail environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire construction project lifecycle from mobilization to completion.
- Oversee day to day operations of retail and commercial renovation job sites.
- Study project manuals, job specifications, and construction drawings to ensure timely starts and finishes.
- Monitor safety, quality of work, and subcontractor performance for every phase of construction.
- Evaluate and recommend construction means and methods aligned with industry standards.
- Estimate time requirements and take initiative with scheduling changes to minimize cost and time.
- Manage and work alongside crews in the installation or repair of concrete, asphalt, structural steel, cabinetry, flooring, electrical, painting, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Perform hands on work approximately 20% of the time, including tasks such as hardware installation.
- Ensure blueprints and plans are followed precisely and evaluate risks impacting delivery.
- Provide daily reporting on project status with photos through project management applications.
- Coordinate and facilitate the RFI process.
- Interface with local permitting authorities to ensure compliance and coordinate required inspections.
- Plan and organize tasks for project field staff and subcontractors.
- Maintain project schedules and minimize delays.
- Organize and participate in weekly toolbox talks.
- Conduct final handoffs to confirm all tasks are complete and correct.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Five years of experience in a relevant construction trade.
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 14 weeks at a time across the United States.
- Willingness to travel by air.
- Availability for night and weekend work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes.
- Ability to operate equipment including forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with ProCore, PlanGrid, or Autodesk Build.

Location
Remote (USA). This position requires 10 to 12 weeks on site in different cities across the country.
