What You'll Do

As a USPI Compliance Officer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our commitment to ethical and compliant practices. Reporting directly to the USPI Regional Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Implementing Tenet's Ethics and Compliance program within your assigned region.
  • Overseeing the implementation of the Quality, Compliance, and Ethics Charter in your assigned facilities.
  • Advising facility leadership on compliance, ethics, and privacy/security matters.
  • Collaborating with Administrators and facility leadership on compliance program development.
  • Establishing strong working relationships and building credibility within the region to support a culture of ethics and compliance.
  • Assisting in the implementation of USPI's education and training program.
  • Coordinating with USPI counsel on legal and compliance matters.
  • Assisting in auditing, monitoring, and oversight processes related to identified risks.
  • Overseeing the implementation of corrective actions and monitoring in response to identified issues and audits.
  • Implementing approved monitoring systems and processes for compliance and ethics issues.
  • Implementing procedures that encourage employees, leadership, contractors, and physicians to report suspected fraud or other improprieties.
  • Collaborating with corporate personnel to resolve compliance issues.
  • Implementing USPI's compliance work plan and initiatives.
  • Acting as a consultative resource on compliance and ethics matters.

What We're Looking For

  • Required:ย A Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance.
  • Preferred:ย Master's Degree and experience in compliance process improvement, Federal healthcare programs, clinical, legal, auditing, or other compliance experience.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of compliance process improvement and Federal healthcare program requirements.
    • Proven leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and consensus-building skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with an orientation to deadlines and detail.
    • Ability to respond well under pressure.
    • Proficiency in information systems, databases, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

What We Offer

  • Compensation:ย $98K-$145K annually, depending on location, qualifications, and experience.
  • Bonus Potential:ย Eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan bonus of 10% depending on role level.
