🛠️ The Team

Data Access and Business Services (DABS) is in charge of services that hold some of our most important business data, like our product catalog, inventory tracking, finance, and marketing info. We make sure our data is easy to access for our warehouse team so they can use it to improve our business, and we work with the connectivity team to make sure everything is synced with the outside sources we use. We also give our internal team a set of tools so they can use and manage the features and data within our services.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Build and Lead a Team: Recruit, keep, and help develop a team of software engineers. Make sure they work well together, manage their careers, and create a good working environment with product managers, designers, and others.
• Team Productivity and Quality: Take charge of team productivity and the quality of their work.
• Prioritize Engineering Efforts: Work with a product manager and other important people to decide where your team should focus its design and engineering work.
• Technical Design and Hands-on Work: Join in and lead technical design discussions, and help out your team hands-on when needed.
• Engineering Best Practices: Play a big part in the wider engineering team's efforts to create good practices and improve our onboarding process.

💼 What We're Looking For

• Experience: 8+ years of work experience, including a few years of leadership and people management.
• Communication: Great communication skills, both technical and non-technical, in writing and speaking.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including architecture/design, data modeling, and creating services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Ownership: A sense of ownership for the areas you're in charge of.

• A computer science degree.
