VP of Accounting - Controller

About the Role 💼

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Identified Talent Solutions as our Vice President of Accounting! We're searching for an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee all accounting, tax, treasury, and compliance functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You'll Do 🎯

• Manage all aspects of the Accounting department's daily operations, including revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Manage the future SEC reporting process and ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP. This includes filing Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K with XBRL requirements.
• Assist in preparing and coordinating audits and reviews with external auditors.
• Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
• Oversee the accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local income, franchise, payroll, and indirect taxes. Maintain updated business license registrations and corporate registered agent compliance.
• Oversee significant accounting policies related to revenue recognition, share-based compensation, capitalization of internally developed software, accrued liabilities, and the fair value of financial instruments.
• Hire, train, and manage accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.

What We're Looking For 🤔

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent and a CPA license are required. 10+ years of experience as a Corporate Controller in both public and private company environments is essential. Extensive experience in technical accounting and external reporting functions is a must.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is necessary.
• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial. The ability to work independently, show initiative, and demonstrate strong leadership skills is key. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders is also vital.
