Job Overview

Deephaven Mortgage is hiring Wholesale Account Executives in the non-QM space. The ideal candidate will have strong people skills, a positive attitude, learn quickly, and be able to confidently present Deephaven’s process, products, pricing, and service to the wholesale broker market. Account Executives are expected to increase and grow the Company’s wholesale lending business by building and keeping up relationships and agreements with qualified brokers, banks, and credit unions in their assigned area.

Responsibilities

  • Make daily calls to develop new accounts and follow up regularly to make sure clients are happy.
  • Answer questions about loan pricing and scenarios.
  • Work closely with operations to fix any problems.
  • Work with partners to help develop accounts.
  • Manage client expectations and build trust.
  • Manage tracking and reporting of monthly volume and loan quality.
  • Keep up to date with industry regulations and requirements.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of mortgage origination experience.
  • A good understanding of mortgage underwriting, processing, closing, and sales procedures.
  • Excellent people skills and account development skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, paying attention to detail and following through.
  • Ability to work well alone in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong wish to progress, learn, and start a long-term career with the right company.
  • Shows confidence and understanding when dealing with current and potential customers.
  • Accurately represents Deephaven Mortgage and our wholesale team’s abilities and strengths.
  • Acts professionally in every situation.
  • A team player committed to doing good work and having fun.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Encompass or other mortgage origination systems.
