About the Role
We are looking for an Account Manager & Account Executive to balance managing relationships with getting new business. This role is 60% farming (nurturing and growing current accounts) and 40% prospecting and closing (turning prospects into new clients).

Account Management - Farming (60%)

  • Relationship Ownership: Act as the main contact for assigned client accounts, becoming their trusted technology advisor.
  • Account Growth: Find and develop chances for expansion within current accounts (additional projects, new departments, better services).
  • Client Success: Hold regular check-ins, business reviews, and planning sessions with current clients.
  • Issue Resolution: Watch client satisfaction and deal with any worries or problems ahead of time.
  • Collaboration: Work with delivery teams to make sure projects succeed and to find future technology needs.
  • Contract Management: Manage renewals and negotiate bigger scopes of work.
  • Referral Generation: Use happy clients to get referrals and introductions to new prospects.
  • Account Analytics: Track and report on account health numbers and growth chances.

Business Development - Prospecting & Closing (40%)

  • Lead Conversion: Change qualified leads and prospects into signed contracts.
  • Discovery & Needs Assessment: Hold deep discovery calls to understand client problems and needs.
  • Solution Presentation: Give strong presentations that connect technical solutions to business results.
  • Proposal Development: Work with technical teams to create accurate project scopes and competitive proposals.
  • Contract Negotiation: Manage pricing discussions, terms, and project timelines to a successful close.

Requirements
Must Have:

  • 3-5 years of B2B account management and sales experience.
  • Previous work at software development companies (internal products or client services).
  • Strong IT background and understanding of agile development practices.
  • Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Executive presence and ability to present to C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven history of growing accounts and closing new business.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Project management experience.
  • Technical background with modern development technologies.
  • Enterprise account experience ($100K+ contracts).
  • Existing industry network.
