Responsibilities

• Work closely with Algorithm and NLP developers to add complex post-logic, using the newest AI models and tools to make content personalization, tagging, and automation better across our solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs with a focus on high performance, good scaling, and low delay. This powers live and recorded content experiences at scale.
• Design and put in place event-driven systems that power real-time workflows across our platform. This uses technologies like Kafka or Azure Service Bus to allow for communication between services that can scale and are not tightly connected.
• Work on real-time video and metadata processing pipelines that support our various products.
• Lead and contribute to cross-service orchestration methods, using design patterns to keep things consistent and reliable across distributed systems.
• Work with product and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features that increase engagement and make the fan experience better.
• Keep up to date with the latest in backend, video, and cloud technologies and bring that knowledge back to help the team improve.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Four or more years of hands-on experience developing backend systems that can scale in Cloud-based SaaS environments.
• Skill in C# or Java.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure is an advantage).
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, orchestration, and pub-sub systems such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and agile practices.
• Experience with SQL, and NoSQL databases like Redis.
• Excellent communication skills and a spirit of working together.
• A proactive mindset focused on learning, always looking to simplify, scale, and improve.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience putting in place ML/AI-powered backend logic, especially in areas like content recommendation or metadata classification.
• Deep knowledge of real-time video systems, orchestration frameworks, and content delivery pipelines.
• Experience working on complex, scalable products like live streaming, automated editing platforms, or broadcast tools.
• Experience designing and putting in place event-driven architectures in high-scale environments.
• Strong understanding of real-time messaging pipelines, stream processing, or near real-time data transformation.
