Responsibilities
- Compile actionable insights from data to assist program, sales, and marketing managers in building data-driven processes.
- Drive initiatives to optimize for operational excellence and revenue.
- Ensure smooth data flow from source to destination for processing.
- Utilize strong database skills to work with large, complex datasets and extract insights.
- Filter and cleanse unstructured or ambiguous data into usable datasets for analysis and business process improvement.
- Identify new internal and external data sources to support analytics initiatives and collaborate with partners to integrate data into existing infrastructure.
- Build tools for automating repetitive tasks to free up bandwidth for analytics.
- Collaborate with program managers and business analysts to generate actionable, high-impact insights across product lines and functions.
- Work closely with top management to prioritize information and analytic needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, or Computer Science with Modeling/Data Science).
- Over 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to program in a high-level language is required.
- Proven problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with database technologies and tools (SQL/R/SAS/JMP etc.), data warehousing, transformation, and processing.
- Statistical knowledge in standard techniques: Logistic Regression, Classification models, Cluster Analysis, Neural Networks, Random Forests, Ensembles, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with R and statistical packages.
- Work experience with real data for customer insights, business, and market analysis.
- Experience with text analytics, data mining, and social media analytics.
