Responsibilities
- Prepare and track progress against project plans.
- Assist with researching and preparing answers to questions pertaining to legal and real estate (real property) matters.
- Categorize questions and answers and creates/maintains a comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions resource.
- Create messaging, memorandums, and other strategic communications to guide implementation and use of juvenile jurisdiction information system.
- Assist with developing template and drafting content for annual report that summarizes jurisdictional status of military bases and legislative considerations, as needed.
- Conduct legal reviews of juvenile jurisdiction data to identify legal discrepancies and propose resolutions.
- Create clear and comprehensive strategic communications and stakeholder resources for military leadership, legislators, and legal SMEs concerning complex jurisdictional issues.
- Provide clear verbal and written communications to a variety of stakeholders in alignment with DoD style expectations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or bachelor’s degree in communications or a related technical field and 3+ years of experience required.
- 3+ years of experience in analyzing or communicating legal jurisdiction issues (e.g., real property, real estate).
- 1+ year of experience in project management activities including project schedule management, stakeholder coordination, and communication of issues/risks.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Active (or inactive) Public Trust or Security clearance is required.
- US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with and/or understanding of juvenile jurisdiction.
- Experience with either the DSLO or in the JAG Corps.
- Expertise in Government Services Administration jurisdictional labels and retrocession procedures.
- Understanding of federal legislative processes and impacts.
- Experience creating comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions.
- Experience producing strategic communications for military audiences.
- Experience writing reports to senior leaders.
