๐ฏ The Role: Medical Data Lead As Medical Data Lead, you will spearhead the structuring and standardization of healthcare data using models like OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) and HL7/FHIR. Working closely with technical and clinical teams, you'll ensure high-quality data harmonization to support real-world data research and healthcare innovation. This remote role is perfect for a healthcare professional with a solid grasp of clinical workflows, data structures, and interoperability.

What Youโll Do (Responsibilities)
- Lead the harmonization of healthcare data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
- Support internal product development, promoting scalable and efficient data processing.
- Manage and optimize ETL processes for integrating new data partners.
- Collaborate with data partners to understand their data processing and sharing methods, identifying valuable data elements for the network.
- Review and update policies on codification standards and interoperability in healthcare.
- Contribute to the development and adoption of federated models for data sharing and research, ensuring secure and efficient collaboration.
- Provide clinical insights to enhance data structuring, coding, and standardization efforts.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive the adoption and effective use of OMOP-based data models.
โญ What Weโre Looking For (Requirements)
- A background in healthcare, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, biomedical informatics, or a related field.
- Understanding of healthcare data, electronic health records (EHRs), claims databases, and clinical registries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate clinical concepts into data requirements.
โจ Nice to Have
- Experience working with technical teams on data structuring and standardization.
- Previous work with different EHRs, Laboratory Information Management Systems, or Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
- Familiarity with OMOP CDM and standard healthcare terminologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD).
- Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.
- Prior work in clinical research, epidemiology, or health outcomes research.
