Responsibilities:

Automate business processes and software deployment/configuration through various frameworks, development languages, and tools (primarily Terraform, Ansible, CHEF, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Puppet, Salt Stack and their associated DSLs/programming languages).
Contribute and provide input and/or direction for overall development processes and development operations (DevOps) throughout the system/software development lifecycle.
Design, develop, and implement automation and services developed in various cloud platforms (primarily VMware, but not bound to) and service models.

Requirements:

Knowledge and development experience on at least one of the following tools: Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Salt Stack.
Automation development in an Agile model, preferably using Python.
Design, development, and implementation of automation and services developed in various public cloud platforms.
Working knowledge of software repositories like GitHub or Bitbucket.
Knowledge of Linux shell scripting/Windows PowerShell scripting.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and integrations using Jenkins.
Knowledge and experience with various cloud service and deployment models (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, XaaS, on-premise, off-premise, etc.).
Sysadmin background with both implementation and support experience in terms of infrastructure, servers, OSes, middleware, and databases.
Understanding of several middleware such as Oracle, SAP, DB2, MySQL, Apache, IIS, etc.
Solid background with operating systems deployment and administration (various Linux/Unix flavors - RHEL/SLES, AIX as well as Windows Servers).
Strong spoken and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in large teams with geography spread.
Ability to lead small teams technically.
Client-facing experience and skills.
