Sr. Account Executive (India, Public Sector – Delhi NCR based)

  • This person will be responsible for driving growth and the ongoing change in the Indian Subcontinent sales function to reach important business goals.
  • They will actively develop and lead the execution of the go-to-market plan and give strong coverage in the region.
  • You will work together with leaders and other members of the India Sales team along with key internal people across the organization.
  • You will be responsible for building effective relationships to make sure the business meets and goes beyond targets. This includes speeding up sales growth through strategic account growth, getting new customers, and keeping strong relationships with the current client base to build long-term customer loyalty and renewals.
  • The focus will be on Government accounts in the North region.

What Your Impact Will Be

Sales Execution Performance

  • Reach plan and overall revenue targets for your region (New Recurring Revenue, Renewal Recurring Revenue, and Consulting Services).
  • Find, qualify, develop, and close new chances for software subscriptions and related consulting services.
  • Make sure there is ongoing improvement and structural alignment that takes advantage of growth chances within existing customer expansion and new customer acquisition based on market needs and chances.
  • Create and keep a sales performance culture that consistently goes beyond what all stakeholders (employees, customers, shareholders) expect.
  • Interact and work well with all regional and global resources to get the most out of customer success and company revenue growth throughout the region.

Collaboration

  • Work with your leadership and management of the India sales function, setting a unified direction for the team based on global organizational guidance and making sure priorities are clear at all times.
  • Proactively look for and take chances to work with partners across the region to make sure the voice of the customer influences efforts and investments in product, innovation, and proposition development.
  • Establish strong partnerships across matrixed functions to work together on solutions that help remove roadblocks or barriers to sales execution.
  • Manage account and contact information through the entire sales process using Salesforce.com and other related selling tools. Make sure the sales team keeps detailed account profiles, account plans, and prepares sales and activity reports as needed.
  • Properly and effectively manage your forecast and plan of opportunities, setting accurate quarterly and annual expectations for delivery with very little difference.

What You Will Bring

  • 20 or more years of enterprise software sales experience in a very complex and competitive market, focusing on key Central Government ministries, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and North State Governments.
  • Experience with understanding subscription-based models and working with large system integrators and reseller partners.
  • Strong, proven sales experience in fast-growing organizations focused on getting new customers and getting the most out of customer expansion.
  • Experience in a market approach that causes big change by selling infrastructure software that replaces older technologies is a plus.
  • Experience selling open-source software is a plus.
  • Solutions sales approach with a deep understanding and appreciation for the value of packaging consulting services to create greater difference, value, and success.
  • A Graduate degree is a must; a Post graduate degree is a plus.
  • Shown ability to work together and fix disagreements across different functional areas in a highly matrixed organization as well as with outside contacts.
  • Advanced writing and speaking communication skills.
  • Strong business and analytical understanding.
