🚀 About the Role
This is a remote position based in Portugal.
What You'll Do:
- Database Migration: Upgrade SQL Server versions with minimal downtime.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize queries, indexes, and database configurations.
- Always On Management: Configure and maintain high-availability clusters.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
- T-SQL Development: Review and optimize queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain detailed records of changes and work effectively with development teams.
- SSIS & SSRS Migration: Ensure smooth migration of ETL processes and reports.
💪 What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience with SQL Server, including migration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong T-SQL proficiency for complex query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Always On high-availability environments.
- Required Certifications: DP-300 & DP-900 (Must have).
- Experience with SQL Server monitoring tools (Tuning Adviser, Query Store, Profiler).
- A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
➕ Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Zabbix, Grafana, and Azure cloud integration.
- Experience in database architecture, transaction control, and automation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft best practices for secure and efficient database management.
