About The Role
As an account executive, you will have an important role in the growth and success of Intelliguard by finding, targeting, and closing new business chances within the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with key people, understanding their specific medication management workflow and problems, and presenting custom solutions that meet their needs. Your success will directly help make patient results better and change medication administration practices.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Business Development: Find and qualify possible leads through research, provided data, networking, and looking for prospects within the healthcare industry. Develop a strong pipeline of chances to meet and go past sales targets.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand the medication management problems faced by acute care healthcare facilities. Do needs assessments and present the benefits of our RFID medication management systems in a clear and convincing way.
  • Solution Customization: Work closely with the product and technical teams to make solutions that fit the specific needs of each prospect. Clearly share the value of our systems and their unique features.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers, including hospital administrators, pharmacy directors, anesthesiologists, IT staff, and the C-suite. Understand their problems and goals to position our solutions well.
  • Sales Presentations: Give convincing presentations, demonstrations, and suggestions that show the benefits of Intelliguardโ€™s medication management systems. Address disagreements and worries while showing the return on investment for workflow, patient safety, and inventory management solution improvements.
  • Sales Negotiation: Lead talks, pricing discussions, and contract creation to secure agreements.
  • Market Insights: Keep up-to-date on industry trends, the competitive situation, and new technologies related to medication management. Use this knowledge to position Intelliguard as a trusted voice and innovator.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teams across departments, including marketing, customer support, and product development, to make sure the customer experience is smooth and post-sale setup is effective.

Requirements

  • You live in the Northeast or Midwest United States.
  • Knowledge, experience, and a history of success in the medical device/technology and/or healthcare IT industries.
  • A strong understanding of medication management processes and/or complex capital equipment within healthcare facilities, including familiarity with pharmacy operations, rules, and medication safety plans, is helpful.
  • A proven history of consultative selling, solution-based selling, and the ability to understand and meet customer needs well.
  • Shown ability to build and keep strong relationships with C-level executives, department heads, and other key decision-makers.
  • Ability to do well in a fast-moving startup setting.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand the technical parts of our RFID medication management systems.
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills, with the ability to share complex technical information with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Willingness to travel (about 50%) to go to client meetings, industry events, and other gatherings.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage your time well.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Health Science, or a related field, or an equal mix of education and job experience.
  • 7+ years of sales experience in the medical device or med tech industries within the med device, med tech, or healthcare IT industries. Experience in the medication management industry segment is desirable.
  • Experience in driving a process of big change in sales.
  • Proof of sales success.
  • Must have a valid and unrestricted driverโ€™s license with a proven history of a clean driving record, free from major traffic rule breaks or accidents.
  • Bilingual speaking: French and English.

Other Information

  • Travel Expectations: Up to 50% travel, within the US and across North America.
  • The main job duties are usually done in an office setting, indoors, in a temperature-controlled space. The office noise level is typically low to moderate.
  • While doing the job duties, the employee regularly needs to sit for long periods, stand and walk sometimes, reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear.
  • The employee needs to use office equipment such as a computer, mouse, keyboard, and printer.
  • The employee may sometimes need to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Specific vision skills needed for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
